Rhythm MusicBikes

2021 - current

Client: Todd Perkins Design

This ongoing project is the brainchild of Todd Perkins, an industrial designer based in Columbus, Ohio, USA. Rhythm MusicBikes (MusicBikes is intentionally spelled as one word) is to say the least; a bespoke electric motorcycle brand with music as an inspiration. Below this paragraph are sketches and revisions on how we got here...

Sketches & Illustration

Initially, Rhythm was just one bike and the intent was supporting text for an illustration. The inspirations came from the automotive scene in Southern California alongside American Racing in the 1960's. The illustration below is meant for apparel featuring the original bike.

Refining

After Rhythm's (currently codenamed "Bella") visit to Los Angeles, it was decided that the text with a few alterations would be the logo for the project. Colors on display were placeholders that are PANTONE™ certified.

The Current Look

As of Summer 2022 the project has expanded to four bikes that facilitated a revision to its current look. Some of the changes include using lightning bolts to frame the "MusicBikes" section, the colors are now permanent and set to PANTONE+ Solid Coated, and lastly, the MusicBikes part can be removed if necessary.

Now, if you're looking to keep up with news about this project, feel free to visit https://www.instagram.com/toddperkinsdesign/ to keep up with his journey and see the actual bikes being designed.

As for me, I'll be up to date with this project through my website https://www.frobrostudio.com/

Thank you for taking time to look at this project!
