These collages are from 2002, when I was sportin' Photoshop 7.0 and my 15" (what I thought was a) flat screen monitor. I was 14 going on 15.
These were the days before clients, bosses and professors. The days where I spent hours looking for new brushes and textures and cool pictures to create digital collages with. (#nerd) Sometimes it felt more like art then.
Every so often I like to look back on my work from that time and re-inspire myself.
I'd love to see where you all came from! Whether you look back on the work to get inspired, or look back to see how far you've come.
I don't have much artwork from when I was 15... the digital age hadn't boomed as much as it has now, but this is what I used to do best... this is a crop from a 20" x 30" artboard filled edge to edge, fully rendered.
After 8 or 9 2B pencils and 46 hours of later, this is what it turned out to be. I really enjoyed it despite the drain it took on my back!

Yyyyyeah, so this puts my work from 14 y/o to shame. And... most of my photoshop concepts/print work to shame even now...

Good stuff Allison. I miss the days of just creating to create rather than having clients dictate what is good or bad, ha. Rock on girl!
