Michael I LOVE your work. I'd love to see a different mainstream app from Robocat other than another weather app though. Not trying to be rude in anyway just my hope. :P (crosses fingers)
Not rude at all. I know that it can easily seem like all we do is make weather apps (we kinda have a joke about that at the office) truth is though, that we're working on some pretty long term things, and when we're not doing that, we're consulting and doing contract work (gotta pay rent). So when we allow ourselves some breathing room, we tend to produce tiny things that can be pushed out in a few weeks. There obviously isn't a template for these things, but apps that present simple worldwide-available sets of data is just about manageable in those few weeks (and easier to launch internationally) - and some of the easiest to get worldwide-available data is, you guessed it, weather related.
Oh and Jordan, Ultraviolet is really a good idea, unfortunately it's already taken (just tried to register). Would have been kickass tough.
@Michael Fair enough. :) Thank you for that very well said reply. I'd still love to see a deviantART app similar to DUNK from your team. :P Again I respect you a lot and thanks Michael.
Trying to resist the urge to touch my screen. Wonderful!
There's something about the red pixels on displays/LCDs in Apple devices/computers that makes a red-saturated area of pixels look ever-so-slightly raised off of the page. This shot is no exception, viewing it now on my iMac, and the effect is exaggerated by the great treatment you've given the shading. Ever notice how the red bird on the Angry Birds icon on a Retina Display seems to pop off the background?

So it kinda looks like this little UV app is getting the go-ahead, a fun little project we can play with while Willi is kicking it at WWDC.
So guys, what would be an awesome name for this UV app?

Looks great as usual!
I think just straight up 'Ultraviolet' is a pretty cool name. Seems to fit well with 'Outside' and 'Thermo'.
A quick search in the app store shows that the name isn't yet taken either: http://cl.ly/7PFX.

Wooha wonderful as always. But it's kind of aggressive imo. Maybe you should try a softer red :)

Well at UV index 10 i kinda wanted it to be aggressive, you should see the 11+ it's practically the end of the world :P

The various states of Ultraviolet radiation is coming together for our, still unnamed, UV App. If you see this, try and stay indoors.
