I had to pull as instant replay on this one after seeing yesterday's iOS5 notifications. We originally did it as a homescreen and a lockscreen in Sept 2009. The lockscreen got built by a third party - just not very well.

    More on it here:

    For reference: Apple's Notification Center

It was a crazy strange WWDC, Apple relaunched several apps already available, dropbox, sparrow, remember the milk, and instapaper, and ofcourse lockinfo ;)

I don't know what makes me more sad: the fact that Apple ripped off your design, or that Apple took almost two years to make it look ugly.

I have to say, I like your design much more. Too bad they didn't outsource the design to you :)

It is just the beta 1, I'm sure polish touch will arrive later. Both are nice to me. Apple one is simple, this one handle more informations.

Yes, it's a shame Apple obviously “ripped” your work — although I’d consider it an honor if it were mine — but used this horrendous linen texture.

i remember this and using this sometime ago and also agree, that this is a lot better looking than Apple's own

also remember this design, and have to agree yours looks way better. shame to see that Apple ripped your work, it's not the first time they do this ofc. (remember http://www.classicsapp.com/ and iBooks?)

I much prefer this. That nasty grey cross-hatched background Apple seems so keen on is just gak.

I rushed to find this old shot after seeing the launch yesterday, poking around for more information (Apple hiring Teehan+Lax, or something else crazy).

Now I realize it was just a one-off. THIS version takes the gold in my heart, and left a lasting impression in my mind!

This looks 1000000000000 times better than apple's implementation.

Yeah when I saw it yesterday - I thought "That's the same as T&L did 2 years ago, except theirs was much prettier..."

Did you contact Apple? I mean they went on a idea stealing mission this time.

    BBM > iMessage
    Online Office > iWork Online
    Google Cloud Service > iCloud

    now this...

@Jathu Satkunarajah: LOL iWork always had online sharing - now EVERYTHING shares over icloud. not stolen. Having a service that syncs everything on your phone, including docs, is not stealing a single app that shares a single thing.

Google music? You think apple stole and developed the idea a month ago? cmon.

Geoff actually has a point because it is identical - the others are basic services.

If your point were true, apple could turn it around and say dropbox stole idisk, google sync stole mobileMe's syncing feature, and more.

    Come on.
