Not a fan of all the linnen in the new iOS 5 notifications pulldown. I feel this looks more like the Lion Launchpad design and fits better on the device.
I do like this very much. I think some people relate this to Windows because the bar where the app name is sort of looks like the Vista task bar. Heres a screenshot of the task bar http://www.cl.ly/7OV1
I was just thinking that when I saw it yesterday, the notification screen didn't look anywhere near nice enough, and it seemed sloppy by apple standards. This might be a bit too windows vista for me, but I like it - a full view would be cool :)
I'm not so sure that the font you're using for the content copy is very legible. The bold type with the drop shadow seems a bit dense from my perspective. Other than that I agree with everyone else, it is an improvement over what Apple debuted yesterday.

When Apple previewed the notifications pulldown I was not to happy with the look, but this looks absolutely fantastic. Great job, Jeff!

Ya not sure about that linen decision.

SO much better. Now to get to work on those horrid metallic icons...

looks like windows, but that might be due to that little game icon there

This looks like the window chrome from Windows Aero. I'm not really a fan.
Also agree with Collin. It will look bad on a white BG.

@Tom that game icon is the iOS Game Center icon. Not sure how that reminds you of Windows.

Me too! I hate the iOS version. This is awesome!

@Ryan I do see where you guys are coming from, but this is a very common style and is also implemented on the iOS lock screen: http://scm-l3.technorati.com/11/04/10/31243/locked.jpg?t=20110410092056

yeah man, screw linen.

Yeah, too Windows-y in my opinion, but then I don't see what everyone has against the linen :X

Dude, is this Arial? For real? :P
But: good idea. I like how you ditched the colon in the "Twitter" and "Game Center" headlines. Apple's got a major flaw there.

Much better, but imho the shadow is a little too much … nevertheless: LOVE IT!

Sorry Jeff, this seems too Vista for me. I prefer TeehanLax's LockInfo theme much better. Apple ripped it pretty hard.

This fits in nicely with Lion. Nice work!
