K2 - Joomla Homepage Early Wireframes

Hi guys,

We are going forward with K2 Joomla Plugin redesign.

Here are the first mockups and initial content ideas.
Also we are more or less set up with the color scheme, just need to pinpoint the right vibrance/contrast hence in the first attached image i explore that area of the design.

I'm afraid that the colors might be too vibrant so i want to dim them down.

What are your thoughts?

Also this logo is just a placeholder, not sure if we are going to change their original logo.
