Just some work in progress for a restaurant site.
All and any feedback is welcome :)
Font used for the menu is "Onramp" by Michael Spitz, available via Lost Type Co-op.
Give them a visit if you haven't.
They've got some great goodies available.
Image for the shot is scaled down a bit from the original size of the layout.
(ps. Removed the first shot, instead of rebounding it, since all I changed was the little photo. I just figured a snap of the restaurant entrance on a vintage polaroid would look more inviting than a row of plates)

Great use of Onramp! This is looking really nice, good call with the photo. My only criticism at the minute would be that the texture seems a little strong behind the text - mainly the bits where the shadows/folds are quite dark, as it kind of interferes with the text above. May just be because it's scaled down though!
Thank you so much for the feedback Claire.
Yes, the texture came on a bit strong and I have actually toned it down further. I also think you are right about it coming on even stronger in a downscaled shot :)
I'm currently in the process of re-working the main page presentation, so the polaroid might be used for a different section of the site, since I think the client will prefer a larger image presentation that can give the viewer a better feel of the restaurant's atmosphere.
I'll post some rebounds on this project further down the line.
Really glad you liked it :)
Ah yeah that's a good point about a bigger image. It is more 'classic restaurant' to have a large, clear photo right away on the homepage. I can really picture a smaller one like this working on a subpage though - the polaroid is a great touch.
Looking forward to seeing some rebounds later on!
