Biomimetic Greenhouse

In this project, we were invited to create viable solutions inspired by nature that

address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Challenge aims to mobilize us to look to life on our planet as models, mentors and as sustainable forms of measurement to help create peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.

The problem we’re trying to solve is to create a self-sustaining greenhouse that everyone can run from home and use. It relates to a couple of Nations Suitable Development Goals including, 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and finally 12: Responsible consumption production. Nations Suitable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure minimize impact resistance, make products that are bio-degradable and lightweight. Nations Suitable Development Goal 12: We also aim to use fewer materials for more products, be waste conscious of those materials and have them be regenerative. We aim to achieve future-proof design etiquette.
