I'm not diggin 'Media'. I realize you're trying to tie it in by using condensed fonts on the nav, but as a logo 'Komodo Media' seems very disjointed to me.
If keeping this format, maybe try something that fills the space between the M descendor and the end (fill under OMO)?
I do like the shift as a whole - the color scheme, brush stroke logo, the texture. When you first posted your logo options on your blog I wasn't a fan, but I'v come around.
@Matthew and @Kat as you can see from the date on this shot, it's nearly a year old, so direction may be a bit different, but I'm still tossin' this whole idea of branding around :) Also, you guys are right on about the "media" bit — I was on a Tungsten kick at the time.
I like the asian influence as a nice alternative to your current junglish theme, but I think you could create something much more high-impact with a more specific kung-fu reference... Maybe a ninja/samurai character in the mid-swing with his sword—in such a way that his leg/arm/sword make the 'K' of komodo?
How about 'creative' or 'creations' instead of the 'media'?

@Dan Cederholm Great work on Dribbble dan. Very simple, well-thought out user interface. Also, I love the sense of niche community that this provides.

Very bold, dude! This might change some minds from your blog. Getting an Assassin's Creed vibe.

oooh I like too. Really kung-fu and matches the name. I think I'm with Matt on the media though.... feels like it doesn't fit.
Can't wait to see the rest of the page!

I love it. But, I agree with the other ˆMatt. The "Media" could use some work. It's doesn't quite fit with the freakin' awesome "Komodo".
