    Since I just graduated from undergrad, I have a bunch of time to redo my portfolio and revamp my personal mark.

    I kept the symbol the same (the mark in the center of the blue distorted circles), but am changing the presentation of it (the fact that it's in the center of the blue distorted circles). I hope that this way, the branding remains the same, but with a different finish.

    Any comments/criticism/praise are always welcome. :)

    Logo and Nav look great! I don't know how that flat slab serif will work into your site, but on dribbble that style's been done over and over.

    Thanks Ted! Yeah, that's going to be the home page landing message (e.g. Hello There! My Name is Deep Shah. etc.). Still working on the typography for that; it's going to be tricky to do something with the minimalist nav/layout I have going.

    Being a lay person hopping into this, I'm getting a nautical vibe from this stuff. Also the lettering more closely resembles a musical note/musical shapes. It's just not as clear and precise as I think it could be. Lastly, not too sure about the flowery enclosure. I'm not sure I understand the point of it.

    @Mienrado - Thanks!

    @Ryan - The lettering at the bottom is extremely preliminary. As Ted mentioned, the slab serif probably won't work well. The nautical vibe could be because it's just blue and white, that can/probably will change (I might add a texture in the background while keeping the main content div #fff).

    As for the enclosure - I actually didn't notice the flowery resemblance, thanks! As for the reasoning behind it — I had previously simply inverted the mark in a circle to give it definition. I wanted to move away from that, I felt it was too plain. I took circles and arched them with 75% opacity, and inversed the white circle in the middle of them.

    However, if it resembles a flower as you suggested, I might just revert to the simple circle background.

    Thanks for being honest with your criticisms, Ryan. It's greatly appreciated.

    The mark this time around is the older alternative mark I had. I also updated the landing page text.

    Thoughts?
