  1. Allison2010_250 Allison House!

I was curious about the process of making GIFs with isolated animation (example), so I did this. So much masking! Wish I had a few more frames in there to smooth things out, but, y'know. Just trying it out.

I've been curious about the process as well—love me an isolated animated GIF. This turned out great! Like you said, could use some more frames, but you definitely got the effect. Well done!

Well done. I think there is some charm to the flickery style of the animation.

I've been working on some isolated gifs with my sister. She's an amazing photographer, so should be interesting. This is great, definitely have to get the ball rolling now!

  15. Allison2010_250 Allison House!

Daniel, Ahmed: Sure! I'd be very happy to put together a tutorial. In the middle of a move so it'll be a short while though. :)

Umar, Louis, Luke, Katty, Adam, Adrian, Peter, Dan: Thanks! :D

Sam: Drooling. I've seen a few of those before—they're so perfect! Thanks for the link.

Allison: Haha, thanks! I think everyone looks good in Photobooth. :D (Jealous? You're the cutest designer I know!)

Adrienne: Thanks! Very cool. I'd love to see them when you're done!

It seems to be an interesting little 'fad' at the moment. One that I like.

I also held back the comment about wanting to be next in line to get blown! hehe

@Allison - I tested your theory of 'everyone looks good in Photobooth' - I think I proved you wrong, I wouldn't really count that as a win though :S

Beautiful! I've always wanted to make one of these. For those interested here's a tutorial: http://bit.ly/jLMUXE

The footage I chose had too much movement but I wanted the hair! The final result is rather low quality and lost color because the file size was high. Maybe I'll reduce the number of frames - there are 50 right now.
