Here’s a variation on the Dribbble wordmark I created for Mr Rubin’s rebound challenge. I ended up trimming some serifs, modulated the ascenders for a bit of bounce, removed the dot from the ‘i’, and redrew the ‘e’ to be less awkward.

I promise to continue starting rebound playoffs if you promise to continue turning them into typefaces.

More bars in more places. I like what I see, but the i gets a little lost on me. The d and the r are connected. so are the i and the three bs. What about the le and the ? Not perceptive enough to suggest a meaningful suggestion. Interested in seeing where it goes.

    “More bars in more places.”

    Ha.

I think if I was to take this wordmark a bit further, I would definitely work on integrating the dot again. Perhaps a round dot to echo the basketball metaphor, bouncing from ascender to ascender? As for the interconnected characters, I see what you mean … but if everything was connected, I think you’d lose a lot of legibility. Maybe connecting the ‘l’ to the last ‘b’, mirroring the ‘i’ and first ‘b’ … that might work.
