Great photo, overall layout is a bit bland for my taste, though. (Having said that bland is almost always really easy to use.)

Nice and clean. Is there a dropdown/accordion/etc effect in the plan? Maybe have a small photo count next to each sub category?

Wade: Fair enough on the bland comment. I'm hoping to add in a few things to up the interest level a bit. My goal for the first iteration was to nail down the interaction.
Kevin: The photo count idea is a really great one, I'll be doing that now. And it wouldn't hurt to up the visual interest with some sort of effect, no? Though admittedly it wasn't in the plan before.
