Shopify Summit 2021

Summit is Shopify's annual employee conference. 2021 marked the first year this normally-IRL conference was held digitally. True to form, Shopify decided to do things a little differently from other companies and produced the event as a documentary-style feature film.

Summit 2021 represents a fresh take on Shopify's brand. Texture, motion design, illustration, and graphic devices all expand on Shopify's core brand in a way that evokes themes of change, growth, and adaptability, matching the content and context of the event.  The use of Shopify brand colours and typography maintain a link to the parent brand, ensuring an event that still looks and feels distinctly "Shopify."
