Thanks everyone :) As a designer I don't always have the idea in my head at the moment I start creating things. That's why this experimentation phase is so crucial. You never know where it leads you.
This is really fantastic and inspiring. I recently worked with a really similar element and got nowhere near where you did with this. It's really great to be able to see how someone else thinks. Thanks for sharing!

This is an excellent storyboard for a great animation! I can see it in my head already. Beautiful work, Veerle!

So, so lovely.

Very cool. It's nice a marriage between the super-modernist styled geometric animations we all know and your typical organic illustrative style.

What a wonderful, systematic way of wandering through geometric variables … I must try this with some typeface glyphs that have been pestering me.

Fabulis logo using Dessau Pro Regular as font. Created my own 'f' and changed the dot on the 'i'.

I wouldn't have imagined you could do so many things starting from 1 simple shape :) Very cool.

Tear Drop Avatar
by David Perel
Inspired by UK CAR Magazine and Veerle's leaf. I will be using this style for author pics and comments in the theme that is yet to be named.
The blue tear drop/leaf is the comment count.
