SAR Search | 3D Visualization

In the summer of 2021 a hiker went missing in a popular backcountry park in British Columbia. This visualization, build with Mapbox GL JS, shows the terrain covered by almost 100 search and rescue volunteers over the course of a week. The search had a positive outcome and the hiker was ultimately found safe and uninjured in a remote area of the park.
