A mix between segmented controls and steps. What do you think?

I like the execution, but I'm not really sure what that means. Are they buttons, are they part of a multi-step process? It's really cool that you're trying to combine certain elements, but in the end I think this might forfeit some of the usability.
That said, really like the design. :)

try moving star shapes .5px to the side, youll get much sharper middle point.

Find it odd that you can have steps as a segment. Typically you can only click forwards if you have already completed that step and had clicked to go backwards before hand. Visually however, they're beautiful.

Looks great. Only thing I would do is move the "Looking for" down 1px to be inline with the checkbox text. Nice work.
