Daily UI Day 1 - Sign Up

I love the Smithsonians here in DC, so I wanted to make a newsletter sign up page for the zoo. Background picture is Fails Leo illustrated by Charles Dessalines D' Orbigny (1806-1876) from one of rawpixel's collection of public domain artwork. I'm very new to UX/UI, so critique is welcome!
