Shiba's Japanese Cuisine

What a fun project this has been! This is a project that is currently in the works & will continue being updated but I wanted to post what's been done thus far.

Shiba's is a new Japanese restaurant that will be in San Francisco's China Town District. If business does well, plans for a Chicago & New York location are in the cards. The restaurant's concept has evolved as the branding evolves which has been so much fun to see & be a part of! Shiba's niche/specialty are authentic Japanese style noodles that are made fresh daily in-house. They will offer over 12 different style noodles, accompanied by fine Japanese cuisine.

The original project brief was specific but simple. The restaurant's name, Shiba's, is named after the Shiba Inu dog which is a hunting dog & native of Japan. The client only had two requests as far as the creative direction of their visual branding: The first being an illustration style logo. Secondly, was that it had to include a Shiba Inu dog.

Check out the first page to see the direction we went & why. The art you currently see has been approved by the client for the most part. We will continue to tweak, add & build this fun visual identity!
