Design for a new website I'm working on. Any thoughts? View the full-size image for the whole design.

I have to give credit for the background to Matthew Skiles. Awesome work!

Very nice. The heading 'Projecten' looks a bit blurry to me though.

Thanks! I saw the drop shadow on the header was 45° instead of 90°. That should do the trick on the sharpness I guess.

Hey David. imho there's too many disparate styles going on. The wood texture is really nice. The blue button to the top right has its own style, the social icons have a different style, the sub nav below the logo, the footer in its entirety, and so on all have different styles. If it was me I'd pull it all back. Also, if the soccer project is literally about soccer, thematically what textures or other visual touches would be a better fit?

@Jonathan: Thanx! The background is made by Matthew Skiles.

@Craig: I agree with you on the mess that alle the styles on the webpage are bringing. I think 2 different styles is an option, but there are too much in this design. The footer and the sub nav are really too much I think, do you have any suggestions for those?

About the soccer project: it's not really a soccer thing in terms of sport, but much more than that. The Soccer Project is a project to redefine everything in soccer, from economics to gameplay, and from management to schooling. The idea behind the design is that we start all over - or from scratch - with an empty piece of paper to rethink it all.
