Peralta Engineering Logo Transformation

The main goal of this refresh was not to announce a new direction for the business, but rather to update their visual identity so it represents the quality of their reputation. The business is not changing in any way, but their identity had grown out of date a long time ago.

The very first Peralta identity was created when Tony Peralta’s father started the business in 1983. It consisted of simply the company name written in the “Bookman Old Style Bold Italic” font.

A lot of the brands history lives within this font. Since our goal was to externalize the reputation they’ve spent decades to build, I decided to include the roots of their original identity in the new logo design by using the original font as the foundation of the new icon.
