Postcards from Suriname

This colourful sunset at the Brokopondo lake in Suriname pops into my head every once in a while. Dead trees rise from the water in the middle of the lake, as part of the surrounding rainforest was once flooded by a nearby dam. While you can hear the Amazon forest buzzing around you, the Brokopondo lake gives off a calm and almost eerie vibe. I'd love to go back one day!
