    I'm testing the icons in different environments and against different backgrounds. I then tweak the icons accordingly (usually small changes like the strength of strokes and highlights) and move them to another environment. It's a tedious process, but it makes sure they look good wherever you place them. Hopefully :P

    PS. I'm very happy with the subtle highlight on the hole left by the map pin, if I may say so myself :)

    @Pontus Each icons dark highlight stroke to create the 3d effect. Especially prominent for the Calendar icon. Like I said maybe that is just my personal preference to leave it at the the hint of 3d and not go all the way.
