Wine label for a Marlborough, New Zealand winery. With a name like 'Ancient Earth' I decided to reflect the roots of an ancient Maori culture.

you're awesome, love your designs all the way! how do you get those projects? :)
Thanks Alex! No idea how I get to work on these cool projects. Definitely not my charm! Briefs just magically appear on my desk. ;-)

Great stuff... and I live and work in Marlborough... wine central for NZ. I do a lot for the local wineries at my studio so I really appreciate your skill and talent. Brilliant work.
Wow. Huge compliment coming from a Kiwi. A lot of design work drawing inspiration from a country other than one's own can tend to be a little cheesy (I personally hate leopard print fabrics, for example), so great to hear that this wasn't perceived as such. I did a lot of research in respect of the Maori culture, but had to balance authenticity against a need to express NZ origin on a UK wine shelf, hence the iconic black-and-silver fern (koru).
^^ @Alex: Interesting bit of history, just read that the 'Silver Fern' flag was first flown in South Africa, when we stood side-by-side in battle against those other guys. ;-)
your work is truly an inspiration. Thank you.
