Introducing Instamenus (working title), an Instagram desktop notification app for Mac.

I'm hoping to have it ready for beta testing very soon. I'm not a designer, so be harsh with your feedback; that's why I'm here :)

    Welcome to Dribbble!

I think this is heading in the right direction. I am enjoying the simplicity.

One thing I'm not certain about is the way you have the buttons displayed on the left side. Each of those inactive states looks more like "disabled" than selectable. Maybe you could do something similar to the Twitter for Mac client: http://cl.ly/6W78

They look a little more tactile and clickable when they're raised in my opinion :D.

Great work so far on this!!

looks like a pretty good start. Courtny makes a good point about raised marks inviting clicking.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm working on a revised, more tactile version of the menu items.

i might be wrong, but i disagree with what courtny said above. I think what you have is solid. the gradient direction indicates it's depressed and once its selected make sure the direction is opposite to indicate a selected state.

    good work.
