Maybe you could have sort of blue, circular waves/vibrations coming from the contact point instead of just the blue glow. Something more noticeable.

@Julius is right, your icon can not depict any Apple product (not even an iPod cable or apple earbuds) or it will be rejected.. Perhaps transform it into a generic trackpad?

I don't know about the texture on the hand. It kinda looks like you put a leather texture layer and reduced the opacity. It also looks like the hand was scratched a lot.
I'd definitely try learning different techniques to achieve the realism you're looking for.

This is a well-rendered icon, but it doesn't convey anything. You can tap every app on an iPhone. What exactly is this icon trying to say?
Seems to me like any icon that uses the actual hardware or the input device is a little awkward because of this.
