Mmh, I seem to be the only one who questions the validity of this current trend of logo design where the color palette and not the shape is what makes logos unique. Take away the colors and you're left with a symbol that is not unique and instantly recognizable.
I'm not sure this is what is going on here, David, because I don't know the bigger picture but I see a lot of such logos and I'm not a fan.
Not a critique, just my opinion.
