And We Succeed Logo [C]

So after the last black only design, the client and I had to find a compromise on the use of colour. I was strongly against the gold/purple combo that the client wanted, whilst I felt the all black version did the job.

However, listening to the client I persisted and looked at various options. I think we have settled on a solution that we both like. It's a reversed logomark this time round and coloured with a Pantone Metallic 'muted' Gold, with the type being a dark charcoal.

The client also pointed out that as well as the logomark being formed from a compass and jigsaw piece, the overall effect hints at 4 tabled people. Which she said is perfect for the line of work she does, so bonus 'fluke' points there.

I still prefer the previous all black version, but this is mostly a personal preference, but happy with this option.

The gold help reinforce the 'succeed' nature of her business, but the muted version of gold is not so flash or arrogant, more understated.

At this point, the client is still debating which option, all black or this one.

They both work, so either would be great. For me personally though, I love this this version just a little bit more.

    Nice work.

I agree with Liam, both look great but this stands out a little more, maybe as it seems to be a bolder mark when reversed.

Nice work Graham - just proves that great logo design is not about the colours - gold or black, it still works.

Nice work, it still turned out very very well.

I have to say I did prefer the black version, but this is a worthy compromise.

I really do like both. They both seem like they get the message across in my opinion. Nice work Graham.

I must say, that I like this version over the all black one. The main reason is the reversed logo-mark. I think the color choice is great.
btw: whats the texture you are using for the 'paper'?

Liam, Ryan, Mirko : Just goes to show how design is subjective. :) Appreciate the thumbs up for this version as I was unsure to be honest, so it has given me some confidence in showing the client this option.

    Cheers.

Mirko : The texture is a canvas type paper I found somewhere online, just changed the colour and contrast, then added the perspective to it.

May put it as a download on my site, as loads of people have asked about this particular texture. :)

Pete, Jake : Appreciate it, as Pete says, I am still partial to the previous black version, something about it, strong, bolder... but this is a fair compromise.
