School Supply Trading/Wishlist App

Case Study: https://seangedorio.com/sm.html

Public school teachers spend an exorbitant amount of money on their students' supplies. Legislation is the only true answer for this infrastructural problem, but bottom-up technological solutions may be able to provide some relief.

Inspired by the wave of nationwide teachers' strikes in 2018, Supply Me is a mobile app that alleviates the out-of-pocket expenses made by teachers for their students' supplies. We deep-dived into this problem by interviewing school teachers, learning the resourceful, frugal ways they try to tackle this issue, and iterating on many different solutions that aim to simplify their holistic experience.

Teachers have the option to trade and barter cheap supplies with each other, as well as create wishlists that they can easily distribute to parents and kind donors.

Community support was a strong motif in our research and so parents/donors also have the option to download the app to easily buy items for teachers from their wishlists.

Prototype made in Figma, logo made in Illustrator. Research completed as a group, prototype done by yours truly.
