Originally I thought the player would drag their fingers on the screen and each finger would create gusts of wind that would blow the player's cloud around. I was even planning on adding a particle emitter to each finger's control point to simulate the wind.
That was the idea at least. It turns out most of the users I've had test the game had a hard time moving their clouds around so it's going to have to change to something less awkward.
check out bit pilot (stfj). zach does a really nice job of making this kind of steering feel really natural on the iphone. it might help you figure something out.
Thanks Billy! Yeah, your health decreases over time so you have to constantly collect clouds to keep from dying. You also get bigger the more clouds you collect and the bigger you get the more stuff you can destroy by touching.
