I'd prefer a slightly warmer green for my notification bar colour; the current one is quite fluorescent. This is just my personal taste, but I'd reduce the radius of the rounded corners a bit too.
Shout me if I'm wrong on this, but do I enter my username in the 'Sign in' box? If so, I'd find a label of 'Username' more intuitive. Also, because you're already going against a convention with your sign in method, I'd consider amending the input's style to make it look less like a button and more like a text input.
I see what you're saying re: using 'username' over sign in, though, on focus the input will display a hint, notifying the user to: 'Enter your username'. So in effect, the input acts like a button, until clicked (or selected by any other means), then it clears and hints, awaiting input.
But I do agree with what you're saying about styling it as a button, when its clearly not.
Also - the corners, I do know I need to style it in such a way as to not be fadish and still be interesting, without distracting the user from the content, - It needs more work.
