This project spans two different portals; an online website and an IPhone application. At its heart it is an online database of game information… but it wont stop there as it aims to be a 'hub' for all kinds of games old and new. Hopefully, more shots & details to come from this next month.
Note: Some applications, media centres & websites are secretly using the API from this website already! shhhhh :)
I do like the idea. :) I think if you could work the face of the drawer to look like it's the same height of the hold it's creating, that'd be awesome. I think that's what's bothering me about it.
@Chris, might play with it some more before release... I went through a ton of iterations and am a bit sick of looking at it now to be honest hehe. (step back from it & look at it with fresh eyes at a later date).
What is also odd is I felt it worked a bit better on the phone screen than here on a computer screen which caused me some aggro. Here is a rough retina screen size test (used to make this Dribble), load it into photos.app an see if it makes a diff?: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2442321/Public/test.png
@Chirs ...yeah, totally. Look at it up there... its mocking me... pretending to be finished... pretending it isn't setting my OCD on fire ...the stupid b&%$%#@rd! hehe
@Preky ...can make you a couple after some sleep tonight (Day job plus hobby projects hitting me hard tonight...zzzz)
@Chris Drackett ...hmm, if its for Shelf Worthy then it might be fun to see how you'd integrate the API. I'll send you an email later with some details and the more tech savvy people working on this can help.
@Everyone Else ... I'll try an do a new Dribbble asap with a download containing a few wallpapers and a psd template to roll your own.
@jackie, yeah few people pointed it out to me as I was completing it :/. I hope the slight similarity is ok and there isnt an issue.
Though, I took the idea from an older project of mine prior to this which has a similar perspective cheat: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mucx/3823061349/in/set-72157619751416995
Why wouldn't I? ;)
I do not own any specific icon style or whatever. Plus, even though your icon and mine share the same perspective style, they are still different.
Had a few people asking me for a wallpaper after my last Dribbble shot. So, I am pleased to offer everyone a few select wallpapers I enjoy and a Photoshop template that will allow you to produce one of your own.
I was also asked about the wallpaper in the original shot this is rebounded from (wallpaper included in the download link below). So check out my friend Keith Webb who illustrated & donated the Wii Virtual Console Poster. He is soon to be releasing a Nintendo DS & 3DS game called KokoPolo I've seen the previews, its a sweet little old school pixel affair!. Don't believe me, then here is the proof!
Ok bishes, I pimped him nicely … No just click on the attachment link under the shot above this boring text!

So, I have two (three?) game related projects on the go. You might have seen them if you follow me here. This time, it a project codenamed 'Archive'.
I'm not 100% happy with this (perspective works your eye better on the phone than here), but it does play off a quirky fun portion of our website/logo area with the drawer and database idea. (that was my first ever Dribbble!)

Hah, I know what you mean. After I've been through about 15 or so iterations of something I stop caring. :P
But yes, it does look great on the iPhone screen. Nice wood texture too.
