Celebrate the teachers!

I still remember my first grade teacher, Agripina Blanco. The first teacher who sang to me while teaching and it blew my mind that adults can be that cheery. My HS photography teacher Ms. Pereira, who pushed artistic composition on all my work. My Civil, Government and US History teacher, Mr. Littman, who stopped me from being ignorant out of laziness and stoked a fire in me to care about the world. My Language and Literature teacher, Maria Elena Quintero, a teacher with unparalleled wit and perspicacity that still reminds me to find the purpose of everything I read.

PS: Excoriating teachers for not wanting to go back to school when there is still a vast majority of citizens who refuse to do the bare minimum to keep the community safe, is absurd.
