"Just a kid from Akron" is a quote from basketball star Lebron James that references his humble beginnings in a small Ohio city and journey to greatness. The saying is personal to me as an Akronite because it shows that we are all capable of significant accomplishments regardless of background.

My poster of Lebron James is an homage to the generous contributions he has made to the Akron community. I completed the illustration according to a school project requiring that I create a vector portrait of a celebrity with a background and quote. My final design features King James in his hometown — an embodiment of "just a kid from Akron."
