Yes. I'm still figuring out depth of field blur within C4D, so the back was done with Lens Blur in Photoshop, and the foreground guys were rendered separately and Gaussian Blurred on a different layer.
DOF in cinema are really simple.
Just add it in the camera settings and in render settings, and then you can turn on autofocus or manual focus in the camera itself.

This is part of a wallpaper I did for Droid devices. Scrolling the home screen left and right would expose the androids on the edges.
