...Flying Cloud!

This is the clipper ship Flying Cloud at sea under full sail.

It took me approx. 3-4 hours to re-create the quite famous painting by Antonio Jacobsen, using only a pencil, an eraser, and a ruler. The results are quite imperfect and I must admit that I have deviated from the original in a few places—sometimes deliberately, and sometimes because I lack certain skills (like painting clouds with a pencil, for example;-).

But I love clipper ships. They are a thing of beauty! Don't know what made me pick up a Rotring 0.35 mm HB pencil today and spend a few hours trying to draw one, but I enjoyed this time, and a lot! :-)
