Viline chandelier black&rust

The Viline chandelier is the embodiment of the beauty of nature and the ephemeral of the moment. The shape of the chandelier is a non-accidental spatial form that looks phenomenal in large, open spaces. In the shapes of the bent steel, one can find forms directly corresponding to the natural landscape.

The fancifully bent steel objects seem to levitate in the air. Suspended on thin steel lines, they gently wave in the wind each time creating a slightly different composition. One of the modules is followed by the others creating an organic wave floating in the air.

A rusty beauty suspended in space. The steel, covered with natural rust, reflects light and shimmers phenomenally in the colors of gold and copper. It is an effect obtained thanks to cooperation with nature. It uniquely creates a rusty coating on steel when the sheet is exposed to the elements. The surface is protected with a colorless coating, thanks to which the chandelier does not crumble or get dirty. The deep black visible in the ceiling of the chandelier is designed to emphasize the natural color of the rust.

Viline lighting can be described as a sculpture placed in the air.

Designed during my work at Gie El.
