    You're absolutely right. Icons should be metaphorical, not literal. This preferences icon is an alternative icon I made mostly for fun. The "real" preferences icon uses the more conventional light switch metaphor.

    Thanks man! I'm a big fan of your work, by the way. Your set Classica is what got me interested in icon design in the first place.
