Right is too Android-like, same for the pin. I'd go for something that's more in the iPhone look and feel both for the map and the icon. Nice textures by the way!
None. The two you suggest are both icons for a geographical location, pinpointed. A button with "Map" would be much, much more clearer. Or, an actual map icon. Do not use any of those two.
It's nothing wrong at all with an opinon, Tor. What's wrong is how you put it/express yourself. And: "Do not use any of those two" that's pretty far from: "I wouldn't use any of those two". Just sayin'.
Some are blunt, some are nice. I gave a reason why, which I myself would much more prefer than "Left" or "Right", with no reasoning. I gave my opinion, the submitter asked for it, he didn't say "Hey guys, gimme some loooove", and thank god for that.
I think Magnus got a pretty good idea of what people prefered with the majority voting for the same. And do you think one prefer a simple answer over a blunt besserwisser comment? Think about it. It's not about bromance either, it's about common sense (netiquette). In the majority of your comments you come off very dominant/besserwisser style. That's all I have to say. Can't understand what it gives you to be rude/blunt on the www.

I prefer the right one, left one reminds me of bricks.

@Tor: Do you have a good example of a map icon?

I'd use "Map", or "Kart" in this case. First one I found on Dribbble; http://cl.ly/5mcN

Thanks for the feedback.
The one on the left is a version of Facebook’s places icon.
The one on the right is more like the Android version.
The one on the left fits this project better because it got roads and looks like a city map. The right one looks more like a "into the wild map".
@Tor
The icon is for a map with pin(s) on it…
@Sandro
Someone is definitely giving someone something in the forest…

Hmm... none of them are spot on.

Reasons for not using a button named "Map" or "See map"?

I'd not use any of those two, nothing wrong with that opinion, Joakim.

Besserwisser? I always give reasons. I'm sad to read you see all my comments as not adding anything, and being rude.
