Exploring directions iOS could take in future versions (obviously it's not going to change this drastically for iOS 8 but I can dream... :) )
Over time I've grown a bit more comfortable with minimalist visual styles for interfaces, provided that the elements of the interface still have 'weight' to them. Shadows/gradients/bevels are still great ways to provide subtle context and visual cues as to how elements relate to each other (which is as important as ever with the increasingly physics-based UIs we're starting to see).
In any event, check out the attachment for a full view, and chime in with your thoughts/comments/ideas, etc...

Really really really like it! iOS might have me back if Apple was going in this direction.
I'd love to see more of that! Just saying' ;)
Nice looking without trying too hard, good job!
nice, reminds me a bit of Reeder.
How would you differentiate the title bar from the controls in the title bar? Meaning- what is tapable and not if they are all the same color? (Would love to see some contexts for that "back" button as well).
Beautiful and calm
Love old design in new clean style!
Not ugly iOS7.
I really wish it looked like that, but Apple, most probably, will punch us in the face by making no major changes in the UI (just like with iOS 6)...
Looks really good. I'm a big fan of the 2px separator lines. I feel uneasy with the 1px lines Apple is using everywhere. They seem awfully fragile, almost 'whimsical' which isn't good.
Is the 5c from a set of templates you use?
Nice. Design trends are following a repeating patterns... We are going to display only text like the beginning. :)
Your design is nice, i hope Apple will at least fix the current iOS visual issues.

Bill, speaking of iOS, I dream of this option:
Nice one! I agree with you.
If Apple had left on iOS a bit of the realism we are used to, not skeuomorphism necessarily, and had not taken things so radically, iOS would be a spectacular OS! I hope we can get something like this anytime soon.

Second attempt at a night mode for iOS.
Maybe we'll see it in time for iOS 8? :)
As always feel free to leave critique and/or a comment!
