I recently decided to start taking on some more 'just because' and personal projects to help develop my skills further. This is one of the fruits, nay, dribbbles, of my labour.
The icon was modelled after a set of Phillips desktop computer speakers I always thought had a nice, simple design.
Nice Carlos! I'd be curious to see this both a little bigger (the default 512x512 that you'd have to submit to iTunes) and a little smaller (the default 114x144 for iPhone retina... or 57X57 for earlier iphone versions). It's always an interesting design challenge to figure out what to keep or add depending on how large/small the icon is.
@Brendon - good idea - I'll definitely try it out and see how it changes. I had originally designed the icon at 512x512 so that should be covered... didn't have to do much on the resize here, but going smaller will likely need tweaks.
