I've been designing the new website for our MFA Program, and as part of the project I was asked to design a new logo.
The problem was that although at the moment, the program is called Computer Graphics Design (CGD), in a year or so, when our University switches over to the semester system, the name of our program will also change to Visual Communications Design (VCD).
I was experimenting with a logotype using the letters V,C and D ... but it felt weird because people have always used VCD as an abbreviation for video-cds ... hahah. Finally decided to concentrate on the C for communication and D for design. And the result was this pyramid.
