Pittsburgh Island

This is a illustration of all the famous landmarks in the city of Pittsburgh located in Pennsylvania. One day when I was walking home from work to catch the bus I thought to myself "wouldn't it be cool if all these buildings around me could be illustrated in one single image?"... So from that thought I started sketching. After I had a rough sketch of the city I used a size 1 watercolor brush, Winston & Newton black Indian ink, water color paper and started inking over the sketch. After I inked the 22 X 28 image I scanned it and colored it in Photoshop. This has taken me over 300 hours to finish.
