Problem: Fumbling around the back of my iMac trying to get the USB/Thunderbolt inputs the right way in.
Solution: A desktop image showing the order and orientation of the plugs. Always getting it right the first time. yay!
My model is a late 2011 iMac. PSD is attached so you can customize this for your own needs and change the background color. It's all vector (plugs and icons and all) so you could have this any size you want. Plug order and orientation is reversed and mirrored for your convenience.
Hope this is of use to anybody with a similar "problem" :)

Haha... but why are you plugging in and unplugging equipment so often that it warrants such a crazy fun desktop wallpaper like that? :p
@David McLeod I also have a laptop and a drawing tablet... drawing tablet rests in my laptop bag most days but every night or so I have to plug it in to my iMac :) that's why
thanks @Otis Okunseri hope it's useful
@DÓRI Ah, ok, makes sense... :)
@DÓRI those plugs are so annoying and you had a great idea, definitely! :)
haha good idea, i can relate to this. I use my cellphone's reflective black screen as a mirror. Have to say this is much simpler :) while pluggin in something
This is so clever! It would be cool to have this as a simple application, activated by shortcut for example.
@Jakub Kejha ... yeah, good idea :) i could perhaps make that :P
Haha nice! :D
