The Girl with the Long Scarf

One of my older brothers has a daughter named Emery that he tells his own bedtime stories to every night. Her favorite ones are about the adventures of the Girl with the Long Scarf and Princess Emery. When I heard about the stories, I instantly fell in love with the characters and started working on this illustration based on how I imagined the characters to look. I wanted to create something that invoked feelings of youth and innocence, and my brother loved the final product. After I showed it to him, he told me that that night the story would be about how The Girl with the Long Scarf and Princess Emery met a pirate captain, and they rescued a dwarven princess from a mean mermaid shark.
