Chairing Styles (Part One)

What is Chairing Styles?

Chairing Styles is an annual event hosted by the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. Each year the school picks students from the fashion, interior, and textile majors to team up and create a collection. Once complete the finished collection will be shown to the public at the FIDM Debut Fashion Show. Every year there is a theme for the project. For Chairing Styles 2020 our theme was Luxurious Streetwear and were required to work with a bright colorway. This was a challenge for me because when I think of streetwear I picture clothing with either single motifs or solid bright colors.
