The idea here is to market certain features that haven't been setup yet that are normally treated as "blank slates". I find this approach far more engaging than just displaying some generic "None setup yet" message.

Agreed, the blank slate interface is one of the hardest things to create successfully, and easy to forget about too. I think you nailed this one, though. :-)
