I don't usually like parallax scrolling because I find most applications of it disorienting. However, I finally found a place where it felt appropriate. Let me know what you think, good or bad!

That looks so legit!
I think this is great, but the amount of scrolling I'm having to do on a desktop is a hard sell. Any chance you can make it scroll to an anchor or something?
I'm not completely understanding what you mean? The buttons/navigation are clickable to auto scroll, however I don't want to change the default function of the mousewheel.
I think I know what Thomas means, and I kind of agree it feels a bit slow, I know that there's the buttons option but that doesn't reflect the parallax effect as much.
For example, on the expo map, it takes me 64 mouse wheel movements to pass it. I think the best method to mantain the parallax effect effective while reducing the amount of wheel movements is to create a elastic scroll system, or scroll snapping.
I don't agree with scroll snapping all that much from a UX standpoint, but I will definitely try some elastic scrolling and play with the scroll speed. Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, that's what I was trying to say. The buttons work flawlessly, but the act of scrolling could be even better with a greater movement per scroll... I really have no idea how to do that or what to call it, haha. I agree that a snap scroll wouldn't be as good of an idea on this one.
Very nice animation!
Nice, animation is very great.
It's so fluffy!
