Winterboard variants I made that will be included in the Oceano release.
Left icon: obviously inspired by the Candybar icon
Right icon: tried to make some sort of texture that looked like snow leopard skin, hope I succeeded!

Lovely! That Candybar version is beautiful - so juicy! I think that the fur on the the other needs to be a bit finer though :)

Right one: I think it looks like the pocketbook of an old women. The texture is perfect and the gloss on the homebutton is just great, but i think the metaphor doesnt go well as a WinterBoard replacement. Anyway, great work on the icon itself, love the realism.

Left one: Oh gosh! I really want to bite into my screen, this looks so damn good! Nothing to critizise on this one, its just perfect :D

Awesome job, i love the left one, but i agree with Robie, the fur should be finer, it looks kinda' smudged.

Both of these are reaching metaphor wise, but they're also both quite cool. As has been stated previously, nailed the CandyBar variant. If for some reason Panic made CandyBar for iOS, that's what I'd envision the icon to look like (with a C, of course).

I've never understood the second metaphor, is it "skinning?" If so, interesting concept…not sure it works well though.
