I figured that if the show were 15 minutes, the blue frame would cut down the middle of the image. Possibly, the half of the image outside of the frame would be desaturated.
Stylish and effective. Look to see how this interacts with the user/mouse. Nice. Many that perforated or dot background is a bit overplayed? But still looks good.

Tapping a TV show on the calendar will reveal a timeline for that day similar to iOS folders. The blue frame indicates duration.

This looks so sexy!
I'm wondering if the area within the blue should be filled, feels a little odd to just have the border.
How will shows shorter then 30 minutes be displayed? For example many shows on Adult Swim are 15 minutes.

awesome dude. Is this just a mockup or something that you are really working on?

This is a mockup, but yes, I'm working on it. Here are other mockups and screenshots of the same project: http://dribbble.com/mattcomi/tags/tv_forecast

Retina Display Day View
by Matt Comi
Here's how the day view would look if the iPad had a retina display.

This is looking great - I'm really looking forward to the app - I don't suppose you have an eta yet?
Also, I agree with the comment that the blue box might look better filled in (I'd try a translucent tint of the blue)

@Dave Glad you like it! If you look at http://dribbble.com/shots/187049-Retina-Display-Day-View you can see what appearance I settled on. It's a very faint translucent white.
As for ETA, it's currently waiting for review so it shouldn't be very long now.
